RI’s Regional Teacher Training Center in Amman, Jordan delivers world-class Teacher Professional Development training to educators from across the Middle East. Through 170 hours of training, each teacher participant learns how to integrate Information Communications Technology into the everyday classroom and how to deliver their curriculum using more student-centered approaches, such as hands-on and interactive activities, which challenges young people to develop strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
RI has successfully trained teachers from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and the Palestinian Territories, developing a cadre of educators capable of positively transforming classrooms and learning for students throughout the Middle East and Arab regions.
As Jordan enters the 21st Century, its biggest challenge is preparing its students to succeed in a rigorous and knowledge-based economy. The Jordanian Ministry of Education has endorsed RI’s Teacher Professional Development curriculum as one of excellence and as the best of its kind in the country.
